Abstract: Water tolerance of ethanol-gasoline blends of various proportions is investigated using co-solvents such as TBA (tert-butyl alcohol), cyclohexane, heptane, acetone, iso-octane, and toluene at 300 K. Miscibility was studied using a simple experimental method for various proportions of water-ethanolgasoline blends with and without co-solvents. Results of water tolerance for each co-solvent are presented in this paper for stable mixture at room temperature.
